Bob is a person who guided me without knowing he was guiding me. Through several meetings with Bob about community related Items, I learned a lot and enjoyed his friendship. He was also a friend to my dad. Both enjoyed the friendly “barbs” they tossed at each other. Sympathies to Bob’s family.

I cannot begin to thank Bob. While I was a candy striper at then Peoples Hospital, he helped me get my start in a career. I asked him if I could go on an ambulance call because that what I really wanted to do. He allowed me to go. I have loved EMS my whole life .. thanks Bob for giving me the chance..

Our sympathies to Bob's family. Our most cherished memories with Bobby, Mary's nephew, are probably pre-Vietnam where 45 holes on the Dubuque golf course were followed by a huge meal fixed by his Dad, Joseph, and then out to bowl a few lines, amidst a host of one-liners and many other jokes, all told in dialect. We never expected to see this day.
